Fickle Mystery JKAL, Jan 2013
Designed by Michelle Miller

What are we knitting?

We can tell you only this much: it's a shawl! Michelle Miller from Fickle Knitter Design has created an exclusive shawl just for this KAL! And - you know her designs - you can expect a unique, beautiful and fun piece to knit! The KAL will start on January 5th, and there will be 3 clues - each will come out weekly on Saturdays. The rest is still a mystery…

Who can participate?

In short: everybody! But if you have an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, then you get some very special perks directly to your device (see next question). Android and paper-based knitters: we love you too and you can knit with us using the PDF pattern clues!

What is a JKAL and what's so special about it?

In addition to the usual PDF, you also can download each clue in a row-by-row format directly into the JKnit app (free or paid versions) on your device! So what you have is a true mystery knit - every row brings a new surprise and you just have to knit, click the row counter, and get the instructions for the next row. If you can manage to resist the temptation, you don’t ever have to look at the PDF and ruin your surprise. Everything you need to knit along will be available row-by-row in JKnit. Hence, the JKAL! :-)

Really, there are prizes?

Yes, we have a bunch of awesome prizes to give away. Join the Fickle Knitter JKAL group on Ravelry to participate and get more information!
